Wealth Advisor

The Wealth Advisor position is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a growing team of experienced, innovative wealth advisors. Our goal is to deeply understand each client’s definition of financial well-being and work as a team to implement plans that achieve peace of mind. The advisor’s role is to be able to listen empathetically, obtain the knowledge to provide solutions, communicate solutions effectively and implement plans with the rest of the team to achieve the client’s desired outcomes. Solutions typically involve multiple areas of financial planning including – investments, estate, tax, and retirement planning. The advisor is not required to be an expert in each of these areas but needs to be able to both understand the recommendation and have the ability to communicate well with the experts, and most importantly, the client.

Advisor Responsibilities

Client Relationship

  • Exhibit a fiduciary mentality, always doing what is best for the client and maintaining confidentiality.
  • Develop a deep understanding of clients’ personal objectives and collaborate with our team and the clients’ outside professional team members to help them reach their goals.
  • Conducts all on-going client meetings and initial planning meetings with prospective clients.

Planning

  • Identify complicated financial planning, estate, tax, and retirement issues.
  • Create, draft, and implement a financial plan on behalf of the client using Money Guide software.
  • Create a personalized Investment Policy Statement for each assigned client.

Operations

  • Serve day-to-day client needs and partner with team members to ensure the highest level of service.
  • Approve & execute trade recommendations with the Portfolio Management team.
  • Diligent recording of client communications within the client relationship management platform.
  • Monitor clients’ ongoing investment progress including asset allocation, portfolio rebalancing, cash balances, and tax loss harvesting needs.
  • Assist with client billing reviews and client quarterly reporting.

Business Development

  • Provide excellent service to be top of mind for client referrals.
  • Develop multiple Centers of Influences both within and outside of the organization.

Organization

  • Lead by example, maintaining the highest levels of fiduciary care for those within the organization as well as our clients - carrying forth the core values of the firm.
  • Take ownership and accountability for client issues that arise.
  • Provide feedback for the development of Associate Wealth Advisors and other team members.
  • Become involved in key community events, organizations, and/or boards.

Qualifications

  • High personal ethical standards and sound judgement.

  • Ability to think critically and to effectively present complex financial scenarios.
  • Written and oral communication skills which clearly and accurately convey intended message.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office, especially Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Open and receptive to feedback and coaching.
  • Self-motivated, energetic, and outgoing, with an entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Dedicated to a career as a Registered Investment Advisor.
  • Willing and able to work outside of traditional business hours to attend events as needed.
  • Enjoy working with a team and independently.

Education and Work Experience

  • Bachelor of Science degree.
  • Series 65 License within 90 days of employment.
  • Clean U4.

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • 5+ years direct client-facing Financial Services experience preferred.
  • Advanced degree and/or certifications such as CFP® or CPA/ PFS preferred.
  • Proven Business development skillset.
